Financial Reporting & Analysis Review

The book has problems with inadequate examples or information within the Chapter in order to complete the problems. Sometimes questions are asked about information that is not included in the chapter. I like books that serve as a reference and provide complete, comprehensive information with the Chapter problems and cases reinforcing concepts. The instructor was using the authors' slides and chapter tests and had to abandon this teaching method because everyone in the class was completely lost. Maybe you have to already have a Master's in Accounting to find it useful.

I found this book extremely helpful in advanced finance & managerial accounting courses in undergrad, but continue to use it for reference as a finance professional. Easy to find explanations for key concepts with relevant examples makes this a great resource.

If this is the first book you've read about financial reporting then it's a great book. However, if you've already taken classes on this subject the book is just a repetition of other classes and other books I've taken and read.
