A valuable and captivating read

This is an excellent review of the vital importance of Trust - an indefinable and generally unquantifiable element - in the success of brands. McQueen's easy-to-read structure explains both the value of, and the techniques in building Brand Trust, and it does so in a real consumer world of misunderstandings, noise and confusion (viz. Mackay's "Mental Cage", etc.).
He is generous in his explanations and examples, so the reader is never left in doubt as what one approach might look like or how it was deployed in the real marketplace. This is no dry textbook, but a living review of actual work across decades and countries.
McQueen has restricted his focus to advertising's effect on Brand Trust, omitting for this work the increasing influences of social media. He also showcases only the Television versions of the campaigns themselves. This is a useful foundation, given that social media are themselves still jockeying for dominance as key influencers - and will surely be the subject of several future books. Even so, the Brand-stories he describes must be consistent throughout, though expressed slightly differently in the different media. They all generate consumer Trust.
I particularly liked the YouTube links to the campaigns, which allow the reader to source the actual television ads themselves. This is an enriching addition to a valuable review.

Their investigation takes them to a chicken house, where they end up saving the birds from a hungry fox. The smoothly paced text is filled with dialogue that energetically ping-pongs between animal characters, and children will giggle over the cows' leaps in logic and bumbling sleuthing, illustrated to great effect in candy-colored pictures. A solid, enjoyable entry in Cazet's growing list of titles in the An I Can Read Book series. Gillian Engberg

The Rare Really Amusing Early Reader book

These books sort of work on the Muppets theory - interesting and personable characters, a bit of a plot, and a few chuckles for the parent reader. There's more dialogue than usual, which I like in an early reader. There's no heavy message, but there is a gentle good-natured vibe. The illustrations have a lot of energy, but the book as a whole isn't frantic or hyper. It's hard to find books that are engaging without grabbing you and screaming at you. The Minnie and Moo books are calmer than that, and sometimes that's a good thing. And anyway, what could be more interesting than the whereabouts of a missing jelly donut?

OK but Hard

You'll find this very hard unless you are a competent math major at one of the better universities. Similar to Elliot Mendelson's text, but not quite as good. Good chapter on Boolean algebra as a
piece of pure math; Halmos and Givant is gentler, though.
Interesting topic covered: the resolution so dear to the AI crowd. Unlike most mathematicians, Cori and Lascar have time for
the way computer scientists think. At the same time, this book does not cover tableau methods (see Smullyan), natural deduction, Genzen's ideas, and so on. For pure logic at the advanced undergrad level, you're better off with Bostock.
Haven't seen Part II, so cannot comment on the treatment of set theory. This is something Mendelson and Machover already do well.

I had already had this ones, but I wanted to buy again.
This book is well known in Japan as one of the famous psychology textbook in the US. I don't know whether that is true or not.
Actually I use "experience psychology" as the textbook in general psychology class in the US.

Japanese who want to go to graduate school buy it to study psychology and English.

The contents are pretty good, and words in the book are not so difficult for non-native.
That's why I bought this book again.
